Venting - Life Sucks!

OK -- -for those of you who know I've had the Stomophyx, First, let me first say "IT's NOT WORKING!  I'll go into more on that later when I feel up to it.

Second, I self-paid $9,000 for the procedure since insurance said it was "experimental" -- I guess they had their reasons.

Third, I got caught up yesterday in the most recent corporate restructuring at my firm where I have been for the last ten years, and have been "downsized" and let go -- TWO WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!  Isn't corporate America so compassionate?

Next, took my mother to the Dr today due to her increasing dementia and failing health -- and I am really frustrated with the lack of resources available for Elder Care, depression, etc -- all the above.

Finally, my 14 year old Beagle was limping when I came home last night, so I took her to the Vet first thing this morning, was told she had to be sedated in order to be x-rayed so I left her there.  They just called to say that her arthritis has worsened, and that she somehow tore her ACL -- surgery cost $1,800 - no guarantees she won't die in surgery, or afterwards, and will probably die due to old age within next year or two anyway due to other health issues.  Decision made to "put her to sleep" later this evening --

I will be with her and hold her to the end telling her how much I love her and will miss her, but it's not going to be easy!

Life Sucks!

Nannette, There's not much to say here.  You obviously have a lot of issues going on right now, none of which making the others easier to deal with. Just wanted you to know that we are here to listen to you vent any time.  You will be in my thoughts, especially this evening during your very difficult time. Pam

Nan, I am sending hugs to you.  I am so sorry for all of your troubles.  Nan, you are an extrordinary woman and you will overcome these obstacles as you have in the past. I will say some extra prayers to St. Anthony, that he help ease some of your burdens. Jeanne

Hi Nannette, My mother used to always say if everyone was to put their problems in a basket you would take yours back, or I always say lifes a b...... and then you die.  Now I will say God won't give you more than you can handle, and you are an inspiration to all of us Nannette.  Just take one day at a time.  I will be praying for you. Nannette~ I am so sorry about all the bad things going on right now.  The Stomophyx, sorry that doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but that can always change, right?  It was expensive, bit it might still turn out to be worth it, just give it time. I noticed that your job is really sucking at the moment, no job at Christmas can't be easy.  Corporate america sucks, that's the truth!  I am dealing with getting back "into" corporate america after being away for the past 18 years... and I liked life without it  a lot better!

The poor dog..........that is hard... I am so sorry.  I will say a prayer for you that things get better, especially with your Mom. Hopefully we will see you Monday at Lakewood, and I hope life gets more pleasant by then. Michelle

Hi Nannette, We are so sorry to hear about all that has been going on with you in the last few days.  I know about the Stomophyx but the shock came when you said you lost your job.  I am so sorry, timing was not very good on the part of your company. I know exactly what you are going thru with your mom as my family is going thru the same thing.  My mom has dementia and is in assisted living.  Sorry to hear about your dog, but at that age I don't think you had much of a choice but to put her to sleep.  I'm glad you were able to be with her during that time.  I want you to know that John and I are not only thinking of you but also sharing our prayers.  Be well and try to enjoy your holidays.

Hugs, Connie
