Lapband surgeon that accepts Horizon NJ Health HMO/MEDICAID!

I am so frustrated!  I have made call after call to find a Lapband surgeon and have not been able to accomplish this yet.  I am about 356 pounds and have every weight related illness you can think of in addition to being post breast cancer.  I feel this surgery will help me get to where I need to be.  I know how to lose weight, I just haven't kept it off.  I have lost and regained 100 pounds plus several time and just am at the end.  I am an emotional eater and my life is filled with quite a bit of stress at the moment.   I have never wanted to be skinny, I just miss being able to do the things I used to.  I wanna play in the park with my grands and play basketball and take long walks without being bent over in pain.  I realize some of this is chemo side effects and part of the aging process but my 85 yr old mother gets around better than I do!  So if anyone can help me find a doc near Linden NJ that accepts my insurance please pass it on.  I am not eligible for medicare. Dee, You might want to give Karl Strom, MD in Montclair, NJ 07042 a call.  Either him or his partner Dr. Fresco will most likey take your insurance.  I don't have his number handy but if you can't find it let me know and I will get it for you.  I highly recommend him and his staff they are excellent.  He runs the center of Excellence in Montianside Hospital. ~Mike~

Hi Dee, My surgeon Dr. Ducheine takes your Insurance.  I have the same insurance.  He does both surgeries lap band and gastric bypass.  His number is 973-674-4042.  He is in East Orange, Nj.  I hope that isn't to far from you.  Also the doctor Mike just posted doesn't take medicaid, I know because my girlfriend had the lap band with him and I called there to find out about the surgery and they said that they don't take medicaid.  I hope Dr. Ducheine can help you.  Let me know if my reply was helpful.  Good-Luck!!!! u checked umdnj? dr. bale...i had straight medicaid, i am not sure bout the hmo though...but check, 973-972-2540 if i am not mistaken...if that is wrong just get the main number and you want dr. bale's office in the department of surgery

I had the lapband done by Dr.Ewing & Dr.Trividi in Hackensack, ther are excellent. I have Bluecross & Blueshield HMO.
