iron and anemia

i have anemia after  my bypass4 years ago   and my pmd is suggesting presciption iron-  niferex forte- and then if that doesn t  bring my iron level up-  iv iron..   my question is about the niferex forte-  is this  fast absorbing and the correct  presciption iron  to  take- does any one  know  for sure???  my insurance will not cover it and i  don t want to waste my money and time!  thanks   donna

Hi Donna Niferex Forte is what Dr. Garrison prescribed me to begin taking one month after surgery.    Hope that helps! By the way, do you know if the support group on the 2nd Saturday of the month is still going?   I was there this month & last and only a couple folks showed up.  Any idea? Donna,  I have been taking Niforex for years.  Endo gave it to me before surgery..and I have been taking it ever since.  It isn't covered by any insurances but it is worth the money..  Donna
