Update on me!

I went to see my gastro doc yesterday.... he thinks i have IBS... and that is what is causing all of the pain. He gave me a release to go back to work on Monday... which isnt a bad thing... im so bored at home LOL.  I saw my Bariatric Surgeon this morning.  He examined me.  He seems to think it may be gall bladder.  It hurt so much... and im telling you im still hurting.... when he pressed down on the area.  He feels that i may also have a hernia... hiatal.. or whatever way ya spell it..... He asked me if i was sent for a ultra sound to check it out ... and i havent so i am going in the morning to have that done.  It really sucks the whole situation.  I am just hoping to find out if this is the cause of the pain.  I have been to so many doctors and no one seems to know what is going on.  You would think that my PCP or gastro doc would have sent me for the ultra sound..... and i have asked also to have it done to have it ruled out.... but they wouldnt.  At this point... i just want to be back to my old self.  I dont care what the diagnosis is... i just want one! It is so frustrationg.  I am so grateful that Dr. JB and his staff are taking the time to help find the cause.... they care!  If it is gall bladder he said he will take it out for me and check to see if i definitely do have a hernia due to the pain in the chest/abdomen area... if thats the case.. he said hell fix that too!  I have been eating like crap also .. i have no desire to eat... food is just appaulling to me at this point.  I know i need to try to get more protein in and i plan on working on that.  Well im gonna try to get some sleep.... huggggs Christine

Hi Chris, Sorry to hear you are still in so much pain.  Let's hope it is the gallbladder and get it out quickly!  I cannot believe your docs have not sent you for an ultra sound yet, with those symptoms you would think that would be the first thing they did.  Oh well, you're getting one now so let's hope for the best.  Regards to Bob and hopefully I will see you well at the next OCWLS meeting in Toms River.

Ty Connie, It has been crazy......I just need this to come to an end!  Im gonna try to see if i can get the tech to tell me something when i go for the test.  I hate not knowing....I will see ya at the next meeting..... hi christine, gee im really sorry that things are still such a mess for you.  hopefully the docs will put their heads together and figure this all out soon. if its gall bladder, that would explain some of your pain and tenderness.  why they have waited on an ultrasound for so long i cant figure out either. u know the old story, push and be proacitve yourself, its the only way. heres big hugzzzzzzz and hoping the next few weeks see a big improvement in your health. take care, jacki

Hi Christine, I don't know if you remember a few weeks ago I suggested that you have an Ultra sound done.  I still don't know why they didn't do one, well am happy to hear that your finally getting one done.  I will be praying for you.  I hope everything goes well keep me posted. Melissa
