Support Group Meetings?
Hi Mds,
Do you know when the next one is? The date and time? I go to the one in Florham Park at "The Olde Mill Inn" I think it's the 3rd Thursday of the month. This month it's 11/29/07 @ 6:30pm to 7:45pm. Thanks for letting me know about this one, it's only like 15 minutes from my house.

Hi Doris,
Not sure if it is convenient for you, but Hackensack Hospital has a group the first Thursday of each month 6:30 - 8pm. The next one is December 6th.
Englewood also has one, but they're in transition and I'm not sure when their next meeting would be held. Maybe you could give them a call.

Thank You so much for responding... I think they are both a little far for me, but I will keep them in mind, I may go to the one 12/6 and see how far it really is, I think it's probably about 40 - 45 minutes away, but I get out of work at 5 so I'm good.

Hi Doris
The St Clare - Dover meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month (11/28 is the next meeting). They are in conference room C-D and they usually post signs to point people to the meetings.
RNY is starts at 6pm. LapBand meetings are held at 7pm if anyone needs that info also.

Good for you looking for support!
I belong to a fantastic support group that meets every Monday night in Lincoln Park. It is run by ("Dr. Mike"
as we fondly call him) Dr. Michael Sakowitz and he also posts here on New Jersey Message Board with a weekly topic. We have about 20 members that are both Lap Band and Bypass. We meet at 7:00pm for 45 min every week. Our group recently got together on Oct. 28 and participated in the Memory Walk against Alzheimer's in Van Saun Park in Paramus.We proudly raised about $3,500.00.
Dr. Mike's office number is 973-696-5668 X 10. Call him! We are a awesome group! I would not be where I am now without my "Monday Meetings"
