Yes, I had gained 30 pounds in the last year -- I was always hungry and no longer had any feeling of restriction.  An endoscopy showed that although my pouch was a decent size, my stoma had stretched quite a bit.  Hence, my pouch was holding food long enough for me to feel full for any length of time and running right thru me. Check out the revisions board for more info on this and other revision procedures.  You will need an upper GI and an endoscopy to determine if there is a mechanical breakdown, or if you are just being non-compliant! Good luck. Nannette

Hi Nannette, So glad you posted the results of your stoma fx.  I am so glad everything went well and you are seeing the results in a good weight loss. I knew you would not be at the OCWLS meeting so now I know how everything went.  I hope to see you at the Dec. meeting as John and I will be attending and then going down to AC for the weekend.  This will probably be my last meeting as we have arranged to go to FL around the first week of Jan. '08.  Looking forward to the move but I know I will miss all those special people who attend the OCWLS meetings both in Lakewood and Toms River.  I don't know how lucky I will be in finding a support group that compares to the one you run but who knows I can get lucky (but I doubt it)!  Again, glad that everything went well for you.  See you soon.

Hugs, Connie
