Congrats Pam!
One more barrier down - now just hold on until Tuesday!
I go for PATs tommorrow so I'm off tomm & Monday then off to surgery on Tuesday! It's more exciting with every new person I tell! I can't wait for Tuesday to get here!
Hope there's room on the bench for both of us! (And anyone elese having surgery next week!)
Good Luck to all of us!
Vicki
Congratulations Pam! I have been reading your posts and I'm so happy you'll finally be on the losers bench. I had RNY on 10/1 and feel great. I've lost 30lbs so far...41 since July. It's still all a dream to me. I'm still having some issues with the head hunger and wanting things that I can't have even though I'm not hungry. I'm hearing that is normal. Best of luck to you and pleasae let me know how everthing went. God bless!!! Hugs, Judy
I stopped responding to each individual reply but wanted to thank all of you for your support. These boards are absolutely amazing for help and support through the rough times.
I look forward to learning even more from all of you and to sharing our wow moments together.
You are all always in my thoughts.
Pam
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
hi pam
you will be fine :) just get up and walk as soon as possible -- and LOVE that morphine pump if you have it hahaha it makes the hospital stay so much easier
i'm glad your day is almost here -- plenty of room on the bench -- it gets longer and longer as we all lose the inches ;) i never realized before how big my kitchen chairs were haha i can share it with the dog now haha
this is an amazing journey -- take everything with a grain of salt -- you do not have to lose 486 lbs in 2 weeks -- just go at your own pace -- have a sense of humor when those boobs go and the other skin just starts to hang -- be able to laugh at yourself -- it's all part of the ride :)
walk walk walk sip sip sip walk walk walk chew chew chew chew chew -- if you do not chew properly then food will get stuck -- and it will hurt!! and it will happen to you -- it happens to everyone at least once -- you will throw up if you eat too fast -- you will throw up if you do not chew to the consistancy of applesauce -- you will throw up if you eat too much -- no more of that 'one last bite syndrome' -- and don't be a slave to that stupid scale -- try for once a month or every 2 weeks -- it can turn into your enemy real fast -- don't miss food -- in time you will be able to eat all foods again -- and then you will learn what you like and don't like anymore -- the more people dwell on missing food the more they sabotage themselves -- it's a mental game -- and you have to beat it --
good luck
i'll be thinking of you :)
