Has anyone been banded by Dr Capella?

Hi Everyone Just looking to get some information from experienced people...Has anyone been banded by Dr Capella? How was he? Bedside Manner? Staff?Reliability?Hospital experience? What has your experience been..What were the pros and cons of being banded? Sorry for the million questions but I am  new at this and collecting information and will soon be making an appt with the Dr. (Dr Capella) Thank  You Stacey

Dr. Capella has an excellent reputation.  I didn't use him, but I know someone that did for her RNY.  My understanding is that he ONLY does open surgeries, as that's what he's most comfortable with. Have you checked his surgeon page here on OH?  Maybe there is someone there that has had the band. Good luck! Wendy

Dr. Capella did my surgery.  He is wonderful.  His staff and Hackensack hospital were great.  He works with Dr. Iannace and he did all of my follow up visits.  I would highly recommend them. I had my surgery  Feb2005 and I have lost 145 pounds.  I reached my goal weight  140 in a little over a year.  I had the gastric bypass not the lap band.  I have not regrets......best of luck.
