Hi, I already have my pre-op psych consult...but I'm looking for more help going forward to help me not fall back into bad patterns, and just generally help with problem-solving ideas. Part of the reason I am where I am now is I cannot seem to plan meals for the family. Dinner is always something on the run that's not usually a wise choice.  Also who are your nutritionist recommendations? I would love if someone just gave me a month's worth of menu's and shopping lists and told me to follow it. Rita (pre-op) in Howell

Hi Rita, Why not talk with the psychologist who did your pre-op? If you liked them they might be a good choice.  It is likely that they have experience in this field. I do not know anyone personally in south Jersey, sorry I do think it is a good idea to do what you are thinking of.  This is a life changing process and help during such a journey is a good idea. My pre-op psych will still talk to me, however she is in California and suggested that I may benefit from finding someone local. Thanks for your input!

Hi Rita, There is a very reasonably priced menu planning service available which might meet your family's needs.  It's called Menu Mailer.  There are numerous eating plans to choose from: vegetarian, low carb, etc.  Each week's plan comes with menus and shopping lists.  All you need to do is take the list and go off to the supermarket.  Check it out.  Hope it helps.  The website is www.menumailer.net Irene
