i can't believe it's been 11 months -- they seem to be flying by!! this is still the best choice i ever made for myself i still have not had any complications related to surgery i'm more aware of what i eat and how i eat i have lost 96 lbs i look good - i do not look sick i drink all day i eat when i'm supposed to  i eat protein first at all meals -- actually most meals consist of only protein  no complaints at all  and the red sox are going to the world series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i have noticed how different strangers are to me now - people are more friendly - people hold the door now - people say thank you when i hold the door now -- weight really does play a role in how you are treated as a human being -- that's sad  if anyone has any questions just shout them out -- someone on this board will answer you -- even if they don't have an answer, they will acknowledge you  take care roberta wow 132 --amazing

Roberta, Amazing....and yes, it is sad that the world does treat you differently when you are not heavy...how pathetic. You have done AMAZING and I wish you more and more success every day! Pam

first of all wtg roberta!! secondly, melissa the weight is going to come off.  sometimes our bodies go into a stall. i went thru several of them on my journey.  the longest was at about three-four months, i didnt lose anything for over three weeks. please hang in, continue doing all the good things you have learned to do, and the weight will come off again. do u go to a support group?? they are so important and helpful.  if not, keep posting here, we are always here to help one another. hugs, jacki

hi frank i eat very small portions of food -- probably the most i'll have at one meal is 4 oz  congrats on the 230 lbs loss!! if the food feels like it's getting stuck or it's just not going down right then you are probably eating too fast or not chewing enough --we were told to chew it until it was the consistency of applesauce -- i also use gravy with my meats -- just to make it moist -- i rarely get the 'stuck' feeling but ross gets it often -- he eats too fast and doesn't chew enough -- i gave up yelling at him -- did i say yell?? i meant 'discussing' it with him -- now when he eats and gets sick it's his own stupid fault --  take care roberta
