As of right now... it has been a little over a month that ive been in pain.   I have seen 3 doctors and have gone for numberous tests.... It really sucks... no one knows what is wrong with me...We know its not my kidneys, My bariatric surgeon does not believe i have scar tissue so he doesnt think that is causing the pain.  I am now dealing with a gastro doc.. who is sending me for yet another catscan this week.  The gastro doc felt that i shouldnt be on any type of pain killers anymore and switched me to another med... called Bentyl.  Well he said it should take in effect almost immediately.  The only thing that its making me do is want to vomit.. i get so nausiated.  The only thing that helps with that... is drinkin some flat diet soda... which im not thrilled about either..... All i want to do is get back to my normal life.  Sorry im complaining so much.... i just needed to vent.... thanks for listening....

Hi Christine, Am sorry to hear what your going through, I don't know if you believe in God, you need to start praying and give it to him.  I will be praying for you myself.  Look how far you have come.  I wish you well.  Everything happens for a reason, and I have faith that everything is going to turn out well.  I have a frustration of my own that I just posted.  If you read my post maybe you can give me some answers also. Sorry you are having such a rough time.  Being in pain for so long is a hard road to travel. Is your pain a crampy like pain?  If the bentyl isn't helping, maybe something like Donnatol will...that can help with some nausea too...but I don't know if it's indicated in your situation or not, but you could at least ask. Also regarding the nausea...not that you want another med to take I"m sure, but there is an anti-nause med called "Zofran"  I know they come in dissolvable tablets that you let melt on your tongue - it's a fabulous drug that people rave about.  However, EXPENSIVE and make sure your insurance covers it. As far as your pain - I wish I had answers for you.  Just wanted to lend some support. Pam

After doing so well with B12 sublinguals,  I made sure to get Zofran ODT (oral dissolving tablets) rather than the pills- figured that would be perfect for me.

NASTY!!!! NASTY!!! NASTY!!! tasting....made me WANT to throw up.... Swallow the pill- cut in half if you have to....don't waste your time on the dissolving pills.... The pharmacist did tell me I could simply swallow the ODT version- but I don't want that taste in my mouth!!! As ridiculously expensive as Zofran is- you would think the ODT tabs would be pleasantly palatable... NOT Bernadette

be careful of Compazine!! i found out i was allergic to it the hard way!! ended up in the ER telling the trauma nurse i had tardive dyskinesia  -- she asked me how i knew and i told her to just look at me and look at my face!!   then onto another med to fix that problem -- all last year when i was on my medical treatments if there was a side effect out there i had it!!  so when they did the surgery they didn't find anything??  on that medical show on discovery health - the lady was in pain and vomitting all the time and it was the little flap inside her stomach going to the intestines -- do we still have that flap???? worth a shot to try everything  i feel for ya christine -- not a fun time in life -- but it will pass -- just when, i'm not sure  oh -- they use compazine for nausea  good luck and take care and know that people are always thinking of you :)  Roberta
