My update

So I got my ultra sound results today.... My thyroid is pretty enlarged, which indicates that it is working VERY hard to get out the hormones to get my body to work.  Luckily, no tumors/cysts/etc noted...there's only one line of the report that I don't understand, but the docs I work with in the ED seem to think it is OK.  They also said it will begin to shrink once I'm on meds for awhile. I've been on the meds for a week now.  They say I wouldn't see any difference for at least 2 weeks.  HOWEVER...I have been eating about the same that I have been for awhile now...hadn't lost ANYTHING...and now after a week of meds I dropped 3 1/2 pounds almost instantly.  I SWEAR it's the meds...but whatever, I'll take the weight loss either way!!! So...repeat blood work next week.  Then I see if my dosages needs to be increased (which 90% probability it will be)...they start you out slow, and move you up so they don't INCREASE way to much, which can make you really sick. I hope my levels come down enough that I can call Barix and say to them that my doctor feels it will be down completely after the dosage change and that I can be cleared for surgery and can they PLEEEEAAASSSEE reschedule me.  My doctor has already re cleared me for surgery - even with the high levels, but I knew Barix wouldn't accept that (because they told me they wouldn't) so i didn't even bring them that note.   There's my update!
