Hi from a newbie!
I just joined the forum today. I just got home from the hospital today. I should tell you that I didn't have to pay a program fee. $1,800 would have made this program unaffordable. For me, almost everything was covered by my insurance. The only thing that wasn't covered was a visit to the dietician and psychatrist. I'm putting in the bills now and may still get covered for those too. Other than that, I just had to pay my co-pay whenever I go to the office. So far, that's been only $30.00. Maybe you should consider another doctor.
Hi Allison
Welcome!
I am still on your side of the "bench" but hopefully getting closer!
One thing just about everyone on here would recommend - find out exactly (yes exactly) what your insurance company requires and follow it to the letter! Even then they may give you a hard time but don't give up!
I've been around awhile trying to get everything working but have picked up alot of good information from the great people on this board. They are wonderful about listening, sharing their experiences, and just being there for you!
Good Luck in your journey!
Vicki
My doctor is in Florham Park, their office only charges the copay. My insurance paid for the pschyeval and the nutr eval. I had my surgery on the 18th and have only paid my $25 copay to the surgeon and nutr $50 total. My psch exam was free for the 1st 4 visits. They exept all insurances and accept what the insurance company pays them for the procedure. Good Luck Renee
