I guess it was meant to be. I haven't cared for my PCP since I got him several years ago, but for convenience sake I stuck with him. He's close & I only go every 3 mos for BP check. He said today that he wouldn't document my 6 month Dr. supervised diet so off I went! I got home & did some research & made phone calls so I have an appt w/a new doc next week. Here's hoping! Time is ticking & we all know that when we want something we want it yesterday! I know Rome wasn't built in a day...Thanks for listening...AGAIN

I'm in Pitman, Jeanne. I'm going to try a doc in Sewell/Turnersville. Was your PCP supportive? I may need to switch again! I'm not going to let them stand in my way!! Erin

Erin, Good for you.  Don't let any thing stop you now that you have made one of the best decisions of your life.  Let me know how you make out.  My PCP is FAT and I think he is seriously considering having the surgery also.  It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't have it at the same place I did.  Copies of the records that the your former PCP has on you are yours for the asking.  They might charge you a copy fee but you are entitled to have them.  You need to check and see what is required by your insurance company as far as pre-op.  I only had to produce 3 consecutive months of proof that I was under a doctor supervised diet as well as a letter.  My surgeon's office took care of the rest and I was approved within 1 hours time.  My PCP prefers me to take the bull by the horns, sort to speak, and I wrote all my own letters and he had his staff type and he signed after he read them. Please feel free to PM me if you need any further info or help.  Good luck.  YOu are in for a very exciting time in your life. Jeanne

erin  dr. arthur schultes has an office in glassboro and one in clementon -- he's supportive of WLS -- he's a VERY straight forward person -- it took me a while to like him -- thought he was a jerk -- but there were a couple of incidents that i appreciate him for and i wouldn't change dr's now -- he says it like it is -- he doesn't sugar coat anything  good luck roberta

Thanks for your help. I saw him on my network list & passed him by because it said he is "affiliated with Kennedy-DO NOT USE." Now I just have to figure out why it said that. Of course the insurance office is closed today! If I don't care for the doc I'm seeing on Wed I'll just move along. They are not going to stand in my way! By the way, best of luck on your job search. What a WOW moment to hear someone say that you are small framed. I understand the head thing only slightly since I was "normal" sized for about 30 seconds in my 20's. I still thought I was fat. A pill to fight "head" fat? Now that's ingenious!! Erin
