Plastic Surgery One Week Ago
Hello,
I had RNY last May, 2006 and had lost about 98lbs. I was approved by my insurance for a Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift. I had the TT last Monday and am doing amazingly well. I still have drains in which the doctor plans on keeping in until the drainage slows down. My next appointment is Thursday so hopefully I can be drain free by then. What a difference this surgery has made, so far it looks great, even with the swelling that I am having. I can't wait to try new clothes on and to see what size I am now in. My surgeon was Dr. Danikas, he is in Eatontown, NJ. I had my surgery at Monmouth Medical Center. So far everything is going well and I am very pleased with my results.

I had bad rashes under my breasts and had pictures to document that. That is how they approved it. I have St. Barnabas System Health Plan. I am a nurse and that is the insurance my hospital uses. I think they are pretty generous in what they cover. The surgery is only approved for a breast lift, If I want implants I have to pay for them myself. The silicone ones run about 1,800 dollars, saline about 900 dollars. I will most likely pay for the implants as the doctor is recommending it so that the breast doesn't look "sunken" on the upper part. It will look more rounded and natural. Keep in mind that they originally denied the breasts because the physician submitted for approval w/ the implants. I appealed asking that they approve only the lift and they agreed.
