hi guys today is 10 months -- so much has happened in 10 months!! i'm looking for a new job -- we moved to a nicer place -- we have doggies now -- i've made it to a Toms River support meeting -- and i've lost 91 lbs -- AND i can breathe!! and i can walk!! i still feel great -- no complaints -- no complications -- just a better life day after day   i have tried soda twice, cake 3 times, cookies too many times, chips too many times -- but they are not regular habits anymore -- i do not buy this stuff anymore -- i ate it when i bought it for work and we had to have it at work for the kids -- i don't buy potatoes, rice, bread, pasta -- our shopping list consist of Lean Pockets, South Beach, a ton of drink mixes for our waters, meats, shake & bake, gravy, yogurt, cheese sticks, cereal, eggs, tuna, mayo, onions -- that's about it -- and i buy protein shakes at gnc for myself -- ross gets all his protein from foods -- i'm not a breakfast person so i feel the need to suppliment with a shake  i still see fat -- i saw fat for over 20 years so i don't think that perception is going to fade overnight -- i hold up my clothes when i'm folding them and think "i can't believe that little shirt fits you" -- i still judge an area or opening and think "can i make it thru there?" -- i will still walk sideways thru an opening just in case --  good luck to everyone in their journey -- never give up -- and if you think today was bad, just wait til tomorrow :)  don't drag yesterdays crap into today  take care roberta

Hi Roberta, Congratulations on the 91 lbs. lost.  You just verbalized a lot of what others are doing.  It's great having you on the board, at least you know some of us are listening.  I have not tested the waters yet and I am 7 months out with a weight loss of 66 lbs.  Feeling great and cannot believe how active I am.  It can only get better!  Looking forward to seeing  you at the walk tomorrow, hope you can make it, if not we will be thinking of you.

Hugs, Connie

That is my quote automatically placed on each and every one of my personal emails - "Learn every day, and teach someone around you"  I find it to be very very true!!! Pam
