Should we try it again?

Well the last time I tried to have a get together was in the beginning of May. Are any of you New Jersey folks up to having a get together in November? If so let me know and I will start planning. Thanks, Donna

hi donna dont' think i can make it  -- i'm going to boston for thanksgiving and that is an expensive trip for me -- and since we just got back from the firemens convention in wildwood i got to start saving all over again!! but i have been trying to get to support meetings now that i'm not working nights anymore to meet more people and put faces with computers haha take care roberta

Where? I will be a new post-op (hopefully). It will depend when and how far it is from me.

I too would be interested depending on how far. Unfortunately I dont drive at the moment so I rely on public transportation.. But I would be interested in the details. Thanks

I would love to get together as long as it's not too far away for me.

Everyone else seems to be newly op'd, so I'm willing to be the one to travel....  I'm 10 months out, and driving isn't a problem.....  I'm in Northern Jersey (Teaneck) and can car pool if someone isn't up for driving!    Mary C

I would love to try to have a get together, I think it would be alot of fun.  I read alot about other get togethers on the lapband board, in states other than NJ and it seems like a great idea. I live in Monmouth County and would be willing to help out any way I could. Keep me posted, im open for any ideas. Denise

I am up for it if I can fit it in between my two kids and my job.  Monday nights are usually good for me as well as every other Tuesday.  I also am willing to drive and even give rides (Lisa, I could pick you up without much issue).  I live very close to Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield.  Maybe we can all email where we would like to meet (ie near our home or near a job) and then pick 3 places and vote??  Is this seeming too complicated, if so, tell me to pipe down!  But I'd love to go out with others who go through what I do.  I am already involved in a fantastic peer to peer group at Muhlenberg and we could use that since we already have a room reserved the first sat. a month A great idea I have been thinking about is that we could make it a party and all bring something -- have it a social meeting where we can help each other through the upcoming holidays while eating within our new limits.  This could be a really good meeting idea and serve the double purpose of getting some NJers together.  I'm willing to help plan and I like the idea ALOT!
