Congrats on finally being a post op!! Dizzy or light headed can be a side effect of what ever pain medication that you are on. I would definitely put a call in to your surgeon and keep them apprised of the situation. Getting all your fluids in early on is a challenge, but you need to keep sipping all the time. It definitely does get easier every day. Once again Congrats you loser you!! Welcome to the losers bench!! (((((HUGS)))))
Hi,
Make sure you're drinking a minimum of 64 oz of water. And if you can step down the pain meds without suffering that would help too. Are you walking around at all? That will improve circulation and help your body work the anesthesia out...you won't feel like yourself for a couple of weeks until that's out of your system.
Good luck and congrats!

thanks for both of your replies.. actually i am only taking tylenol for pain because its not bad. they gave me a prescription for percoset but i keep hearing they cause constipation.. so i am sticking with tylenol. yes, im walking (around my apartment anyway)... as for fluids... i keep trying to remember to drink..lol.. i know it will get easier.. its hard at the beginning i guess.. but i am DEFINITELY NOT complaining..lol.. I am so happy that I went through with it.. thanks for your advice...

hi lisa
congrats on your surgery!! it is hard to get in all your fluids right away -- but just keep sipping away :) in time you will get in all your protein and fluids -- and remember to keep up the protein so you keep your hair and nails and protein will also help you heal :)
good luck and take care
