What's the Lakewood meeting?  Do you already have to have surgery?  Is it a support group?  I may be interested in attending a WLS meeting to see what everyone has to say.  I live in Clementon.  Let me know what time too!  Thanks!   (Remember me?)  Brenda

hi brenda it's a support group --great bunch of people  -- some from here on OH as far as i know it is open to all pre-ops and post-ops  i can get ya around 5pm if that sounds good -- let me know :)  Roberta

Okay, will do.  My friend will be there too, no****ching a sox/yanks game though (trader LOL), he husband is the Chief of the GIbbsboro Fire Company and they all rent a room and I think drink the weekend away, but they will never say for sure.  It's a good time I know that much. Also, I just got approved today for my Lapband surgery. I did stay with Dr. Manigat and hope that is the right choice.  I did call another doc, Dr. Goldstein and I am actually scheduled to go to a New Beginnings seminar 9/19 and see what it's all about.  They wouldn't see me until then even though I have already done 8 workshop classes with Dr. Manigat.  They also require to join this new beginnings program for $1,750, out of pocket.  One of my main concerns with Manigat was the out of pocket and when I call this doctor they told me that was outrageous and he shouldnt be charging that.  I talked to another woman on here Nobetter....(???) and she was the one who told me about Dr. Goldstein and then later told me about the $1,750.  Needless to say, I was very confused.  I figured if the approval didn't go through I would go to the new beginnings class and go from there but I GOT APPROVED - YAY!!!!  We'll see what happens from here and what other unknown hoops i will have to jump through.  Anyway, I will let you know about Monday and have a very nice weekend.  Whether should be nice and cool!

as far as i know the weekend is a huge drinking weekend -- ross doesn't drink so i could care less haha actually i think he's learning how to drink being with the fire dept now haha i choose not to drink -- and if i do it wont' be that much --i can get down with the best of them but i don't know them that good yet to let all my fun behaviors out of the bag :)  congrats on the approval!! that is awesome!!   we had no out of pocket fees except for co-pays for the dr visits -- no programs to sign up for -- nothing like that -- our support groups are free -- oh wait, we had the $200 nutritionist fee and the $200 psych fee -- that was it -- no other BS -- and i guess i cop a little attitude when i see people spend money that they don't have to spend -- when i know they can go someplace else and not get those huge "program fees" -- it just makes me mad to see surgeons charge people like that -- that money is just going into the surgeon's pockets  and i'm not a trader -- i was born and raised in fenway park :) i'm true to my boston teams!! i'm a member of Red Sox Nation and the Fenway Faithful :) and if you saw how i lived you would think i walked out of the movie "Fever Pitch" hahaha and Ross who was born and raised in South Philly is a "married into it" sox fan :) he had no choice -- love em or get the hell out of my way!! only thing i can't change is his football affiliation -- i'm die hard PATRIOTS!! and he's a 9'ers fan -- oh well, the things ya gotta put up with you're married haha  have a great day roberta
