I never paid attention before...

So lately I've been trying to do a high protein, low carb, more sensible diet.  PATs are in 2 weeks, surgery in just under 4 and trying to get myself in order.  Not following a specific diet per say...just skim milk, no sugars, no junk food etc etc etc. So anyway, last night the hubby went out and bought a bunch of chips and salted pistachios and chocolate covered pretzels.  We put on a bunch of movies, and I had a junk food night.  Now...I did not eat what I was USED to eating, but darn it, I did a DARN good job of saying "goodbye" to my fav foods....well let me tell you....I FEEL LIKE CRAP!!!!!!  I never realized how these carbs affected me before. The poopies aren't moving, I had absolutely INSATIABLE hunger throughout the night (I actually woke up at around 2am and contemplated going to the kitchen to see what was left for eating), and I'm EXHAUSTED today.  I was starving when I woke up....contemplated falling back into hold habits and having some chips...but decided to go right back (something I would have NEVER done a few months back) and had 1/2 c Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/ 1/2 cup skim plus milk.  I also had a cup of tea with 2 splenda and 1/4 cup skim plus milk.  Already, the hunger has STOPPED. I can't wait for me to have this surgery - I proved to myself today that I feel better already following a better diet plan.   OK...so that was my rambling for today
