SUPPORT GROUP IN CENTRAL JERSEY?????

Hello friends,          I was wondering if anyone knew of a support group in Central Jersey? I know of the one at Muhlenberg as well as the ones in Toms River and Lakewood. They are all a little hike from me and was just wondering if there is one closer. Any help you could give would be great. Thanks.                                                               Judy

Judy, I do not know of one either, but would be interested if one started up - I live in Port Monmouth.  Still pre op but surgery is Oct 2 for me.  Getting pretty excited and nervous all at the same time.  Do you know when the other groups meet?  I was thinking of going to a meeting or two, even though they are a hike, just to get started before surgery. Thanks for the thought and maybe we'll find out about something else!! Pam

Hi all

I facilitate a support group at the Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy Division every third Thursday of the Month.  However, the September meeting will be held next Thursday 9/13 because I will be away on  9/20.  This support group is open to everyone who has had surgery or thinking about it.  We are not affiliated with any specific surgeons.  We meet at 6:30 PM – 8PM.  You are very welcomed to attend.

I will be posting a reminder on Sunday or Monday.

Judy, There's a group in Trenton at St.Francis Medical Center the last Tuesday of every month.  Email me for more info. RobinNJ

There is a group, Bariatric Angels, that has several support group meetings in Central, NJ.  You can check their website at www.bariatricangels.com.
