Protein Powder and Jello
Does anyone know if this effects the protein powder? I decided to start to experiment w/ some things before surgery so I know how they will work out.....
So last night I took a couple boxes of black cherry sugar free jello. I made it the way they say to, and I added 4 scoops of vanilla protein powder and dissolved it into it. So now, each 1/2 c serving of jello also has 12.5 grams of protein in it.
It congeled but separated a little bit. I took it out of the fridge, mixed it all up in a blender again, put it back in the fridge, and it solitified like jello always does. Now it tastes like cherry vanilla ice cream!!! Yumm Yumm.
So....does letting the protein powder stay in suspension effect it? Will it be like not eating protein powder at all???
Just wondering. If it is OK to do things like this, then I'm very excited!!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Unjury recommends adding protein powder to sugar-free gelatin. Yes, it will settle a little bit, but it sounds like you had a great idea, spinning it in the blender. It will work just fine!
You can also add 2 scoops of protein powder to a package of sugar-free instant pudding - it'll have a bit more protein because of the milk, and it's REALLY good.
