Medicaid!!

Hi,      I was just wondering if anyone no a good surgeon that takes the New, New Jersey Medicaid Health Benefits Identification Card Near the Newark NJ Area,I was considering getting the lap band or gastric bypass surgery.

Did you try Dr jean-Baptiste at Muhlenberg ? not far from newark

My surgeon Dr. Strom is in Montclair and works out of Mountainside Hospital in Montclair.  I'm in Newark and it was very close.  I would call his office and ask if they take Medicaid. Good Luck ~Mike~

Thanks Iamsobadd lol love the name he he he.. But I'm going to call and check the first thing in the morning so I got my fingers crossed and hoping they take it.                 

dr.jean-baptiste in plainfield takes it........i believe tht u have to have health net hmo though...call them and find out....good luck!

Hi Shakeerah, I have Medicaid and my Surgeon Dr. Ducheine takes it.  He is right by Newark in Orange NJ on Main street.  The number is 973-674-4042.  Hope this was helpful and Good-Luck. Melissa

Hi Melissa and thanks for the info I no DR. Ducheine, I had a stomach abscess 5 years ago and he did my Surgery but sad to say he don't take Medicaid anymore for the surgery.

Hi Shakeerah, I have Horizon NJ health(HMO) under Medicaid, and Dr. Ducheine did my surgery less than 2 months ago, Do you have an HMO?  How do you know that he doesn't take Medicaid?  He is the only doctor I know in that area that does take Medicaid.  Anyway the best way to find a surgeon, is by calling your Insurance company and they will give you a list of surgeons that take your Insurance, That is what I did and they gave me Dr. Ducheine.  Well I hope everything works out for you.  Let me know how things are going. I have straight Medicaid it's not a HMO its from the Department of Human Services and yes I called there office and they said they didn't take straight Medicaid so I guess it has to be a HMO or something.
