Newbie

Hi all, I am a newer member and had not posted before this. I also posted on the Pa website. I'm from central jersey, by the good ol shore.  I will be having surgery Oct 2 in Langhorne, Pa @ Barix w/ Dr. Pupkova. I am having lap rny.  Can't wait!!  I'm already nervous and just got my date today.  I didn't expect the nerves to hit so hard so fast, but oh well.  Something to work through. hi Pam welcome aboard :) ask any question and never feel like it's a stupid question  congrats on your surgery date :) it will be here before  you know it!! don't buy too much stuff thinking you will never leave the house again  only take you, chap stick, slippers and a bathrobe to the hospital -- they provide everything else  Sugar Free and Splenda will be your best friends  ask your surgeon/nutritionist what vitamins you need and what dosage and when to take them  pain is normal  don't stress!! it's not worth the grey hairs  gas is normal after surgery walk walk walk -- then walk some more  you will learn to eat REAL SLOOOOOOOOWWWWW and chew your food a gazillion times you will also learn to drink the same way  don't worry you will eat again in time and you will drink normally again in time  you are having life altering surgery -- remember that :)  good luck to you and ask away :) everyone here will answer you :)  take care roberta
