Surgery next thursday

Hey all, I am actually pretty new to the game.  I am having my surgery next thursday (aug 30, hopefully as long as everything goes well.) I was actually scheduled to get the surgery 3 years ago but the night before the surgery i got a migrane and was not able to get it until i had full neurological examination.  i just wanted some pre-op advice and hear some thoughts.  btw, i'm getting the lap band surgery. dina

hi dina congrats to you on your upcoming surgery -- do want some chicken broth and beef broth?? i got a some i'm giving away!!  some thoughts and advice don't stress (it only causes grey hair) believe that everything will work out (because it will) just bring your slippers and bathrobe and yourself to the hospital -- no need to pack for a month the weight will come off -- don't stress  you will learn to drink and eat REAL slow at first :) in time you will be able to eat and drink faster ask questions -- understand the answers  know that you are not alone  and welcome aboard :) someone will answer your questions --it's a great bunch of people here!! good luck roberta

That is my fear that something will happen the day before and I will not have my surgery.  I am glad you are finaly getting the surgery.  Congrates!!!  My surgery in Tuesday 8/28.  Good luck!
