New and just wanted to say Hi!

Hi Everyone, I am just 2 weeks post op, and wanted to say Hi!  I have just started reading and posting comments on the boards.  I am very happy to see others who have gone through and/or are going through what I am going through. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well, and looking forward to chatting with you all! Jenn

hi jenn welcome aboard :) always nice to see new faces and people willing to share their stories to help others :)  i love to think we are a great bunch of people!! we don't bicker like on other boards -- someone will always answer your questions -- or guide you in the right direction :)  i just had my 9 months today :) and i'm proud to say that the surgery worked!!  just shout out and  share what you have :)  take care roberta

Thanks for the welcome, Roberta.  I appreciate it!  I am happy to know you are doing well after 9 months!  I am still feeling sore, tired, nauseous, etc.  Glad to know that will stop some day! :) Jenn

hi jenn yup all the crappy feelings will be long gone before you know it :)   i had no choice but to feel better soon -- when i had my surgery i was just coming back from medical leave of 12 weeks (all i was allowed) -- and for the surgery i was using my new vacation time!! i refused to use all of it -- so i had better get better soon!! i was back to work in 17 days with 3 vacation days to spare :)  and everyday i tell someone that this is the best thing i ever did for myself :) there is life after obesity and i will make the most of it :)  take care roberta

Hi Jenn, I just had my surgery 6 weeks ago,  I had a lot of heartburn, and the feeling to want to burp and can't is subsiding.  I was wondering myself is this ever gonna end.  I just want to let you know I am feeling much better.  Good-Luck, and remember to eat right and excercise it is very important. Hi Jenn, Congrats on participating on the board, look at you girl, down already 33 lbs. from surgery day to now!  That is totally awesome!   I also participate on the PA board since I'm technically considered a suburb of Philadelphia, and not that I'm complaining, but it is a very active board, and, also, the Over 50 Forum since I'm 52, so there is lots of great people here on OH to help you on your journey.  Besides, my job is not terribly busy, so I have the ability to check in and see what new stuff I can learn before my surgery.  I'm waiting for that phone call, the one that will give me my surgery date and any out of pocket expenses, hoping for early October, so you keep the bench warm in the meantime!

Hi Jen, I am scheduled for lap band on monday, yes in 2 days. I live in hillsborough also. I just joined the hillsborough raquet ball club. Just wondered if you are walking or would be interested in walking.
