I personally feel she dupped the public...  She wants to keep it to herself than she should be a private person and not out there showing it off.  As a public personality she had a responsibility to be forthright and honest..   She failed.. She spoke on Larry King about being a high achiever well in my opinion here she failed. Her action were for her own gain. Even her weight loss was probably  for false reasons. I am sorry I used to really like her, now she is just another nobody to me..  Honesty Integrity and Humility are a Stars best attributes and she has demonstrated she has none.  She may be a smart women with interesting thought and views but my respect she will not have anylonger.  She failed us all as a WLS community by not being honest and forthright..  She has made this the scarlet letter in my mind.. something we should hide and I never felt that way before watching her. We have nothing to hide and she should have hid either.  Star if you ever get around to reading this. This is one former fan of yours that is totally anti-Starr from now on.. Nothing you say can be believed once you present a lie. Your scarlet letter will be on you forever.. you have hurt us all.

I think that she is into herself too much. For her to think that everyone was going to run out and say I want wls surgery because star jones had it is rediculous. Numerous celebrities have had the surgery and have been very open and honest about it. Lets not forget carnie wilson letting the public veiw it, al roker, rosanne barr, randy jackson, ricki lake have all been super honest about it. But i think that ms star thinks that she was the originator. Shame on her.

It has to be difficult being in the public eye on national tv and having people watching everything you eat. Although I didn'****ch her on Larry King I would imagine her reason was for privacy. Imagine if it didn't work and your in the public eye. I don't blame her for keeping a secret. I haven'****ched the View for years when I went to see the show in person. Inbetween commercial breaks the hosts stood in the back with a guard while the set was moved around. The didn't interact with the audience until the very last commercial break when Barbara Walters asked the audience if they had any questions. Prior to the show you were selected by your looks to sit in the special stage seats. Only well dressed thin women and a few men were seated there. Its all a show for tv.

That is understandable, but keep it private.....dont make up something like "medical intervention" and eating right and pilates......she made it seem like the dr prescribed a pill or special shakes or even a nutrionist intervened, like that was the medical intervention.
