Heyya... Late to the SHOW

Greetings from Maine ! For those that know me... skip next two paragraphs...for those that dont In Brief... Im Timmy Ray S.... 43 years old.. Surgery Laproscopic RNY in Waterloo Iowa.. 12/22/04... this Christmas will be three year anniversary... I am down over 250 pounds, starting weight day of surgery was 601.   I lived in Central Jersey and attended two wonderful support groups .. Toms River and Lakewood,  once a month each, but following some life changes I moved to Rural (and Imean RURAL) Maine in November 2006...  so I am back saying HOWDY and I miss you guys : ) Four things about Maine.: 1. Lots of Lakes and Trees... its very beautiful. 2. Everywhere is likely an hour away... wilderness ...especially in North Maine 3.  People often have two or three part time jobs ... jobs scarce but quality of life is super. :) 4.  MOOSE. Moose are these huge animals that are territorial...and where I live the freeway inconvienently cuts accross their forage... so Car accident****ting MOOSE are a very real hazard.  They weigh literally like 1500 pounds... so .. yeah it aint pretty. Five things about me. 1.  I am fine, missing my friends in New Jersey very much. 2. I am looking forward to the start of school, as a substitute teacher again for the small schools here. 3.  My zoom zoom... my small used volvo 740 with sunroof died : (     Bummer. 4.  I curled my hair and grew a beard... and BADLY need to update my web site. 5.   I am going to try and figure out a way to come down to New Jersey for the Boardwalk for Obesity. My sisters husband Gordon passed in May, my plans to go to Class A commercial Driving school were thusly curtailed.... so I hope to go later this fall or next spring.  Big Rigs.  Yeah. Regards to the Boardwalk...and SHIRTS man.. AJ... what is the largest shirt size available?   I want 4 or 5.. Ill email you my friend :) Jack.. You still around buddy? AJ.. still doing tri atholons?  No I cant spell it : P Hello and upbeat flirtatious hugs to all my Gal Pals... you know who you are... you guys (and gals) are the most wonderful and supportive group I know.    I WISH I WAS THERE. How is EVERYONE?  I  am SOOO late to the show so to speak.   Life here is pretty slow, but very beautiful, wildlife and lots of trees... but then it will freeze in like... November and stay frozen literally ... with thick thic**** and snow till.. April? Life for me here has been an .................Adjustment. There is no such thing as 24 hour grocery stores.... life ends business wise about 5pm everywhere...so you just have to plan : ) I am about an hour north of Bangor.  I live in a small town named Millinocket , and I substitute teach at 6 schools, K-12... small ones, three in two different districts in a 15 mile radius. This summer I went camping twice .. first time since surgery.. it was a lot of fun. I have grown a lot since last winter, still smarting in areas but dealing with life productively.    I got the email from Nanette about the Boardwalk for Obesity, and thought... *why the LL not??**. So I am planning to FIND a way...to travel down and walk with you guys. Nanette.. what are the meeting dates for SEPTEMBER? Is the Toms River or Lakewood meeting anywhere close to the Walk Date?   Any chance of having a meeting AFTER (if not close to a regular meeting).... Just a thought... I wont be able to stay in NJ long but it would be wicked good to see everyone at a support meeting : ) So far... I have not been to a meeting up here... hearth and home has taken all my time. But thinking of starting one.   I live near two siblings for the first time as an adult... and its been a very rewarding experience to be closer to family : ) My sister Pam lost her husband tragically in May to a heart attack... so its been good to be able to be supportive for once instead of always receiving.... from her.... being the younger brother doncha know. OH MY WORD... I miss you guys.  Sitting here in the glow from the CPU and monitor at 5am on a friday morning.... the Lakewood and Toms River meetings were family to me for nearly two years.  I hope everyone is healthy, doing good, and participates in the Boardwalk for Obesity : ) (what can I say Iam a selfish lad.. and wanna see everyone). No news on the social scale.... I am working to try and heal and deal with life, finances and school issues.... and change is not something that the Timmy Ray handles well.  Duh :) My best to everyone... I miss you all and will try and post here on the NJ  board more.   I am working through my issues and lifestuffs, and for a long time it was hard coming to **lurk** because I am so far away.  Your email Nanette was a real drink of fresh lifegiving water :) God Bless.. love to all Timmy Ray

Hey Timmy - good to hear from you.  How's the WL doing?  Still going down?   Good to hear you may be able to make the boardWalk on Sept 23rd.  The September meeting date for Toms River is Sept 7th and for Lakewood is Sept 17th. Hugs, Nannette

It was requested it be removed as you had publicaly announced someone's legal name (as opposed to screen name) along with their direct e-mail address -- a no no in a public forum without asking that person first!  I went ahead and made a post of my own with the general info you wanted to spread, but omitting the personal info. No offense, Timmy -- just think before you press the button.  All fixed now -- I am very much looking forward to seeing you in September when you come down.  Make sure you drop me a line as to your plans. Hey Nannette :) No worries .. no offense taken.  I KNOW better but wasnt thinking... its *been awhile* and Im rusty : / I messaged our Bearded pal and apologized also... Im VERY much okay with the removal and it was my bad.. all the way. Thanks for the prompt action.. for my error I would have hated to cause anyone any discomfort : ( All is good : ) Yes Im looking forward to seeing folks at the Boardwalk.. I cant wait.
