Hello My Friend~ I saw that ad also.  I also read her interview last week, someone posted the link on here, I think it was Glamour magazine.  I love Star Jones, but I wasn't all that impressed with the article.  I don't think I understand why she didn't tell anyone about the surgery.  She was worried someone might get it just because she did, and have bad results.  I understand that, but I think that is a little too much.......too much ego maybe?  I am not sure, but the article just "rubbed me the wrong way."  Let me know what you thought of it. Summer is almost over, 20 days left until the kids go back to school now   I am doing well, I have lost 110 pounds, I am actually 10 pounds below goal, but it just keeps coming off.  I am working on trying to stay right here.  It is slowing down, so that's good news.  I hope the ice cream business is treating you well, and your husband is good too!

Hey Michelle! good to hear from you and may I say your avatar picture looks great! But then you always have been a pretty woman! The weight loss has only made you blossom :) I didn't see the link to the article about Star Jones but I'll look for the older post and take a read.  Regarding Star; I do understand that some are not ready, willing or able to discuss if they've had WLS. We all come to the obesity table with our own story and/or emotional baggage.  However, Star wrote a book and offered it for pre-sale on her website saying that in the book she would tell how she lost the weight. Once the book was available there was no mention about one very significant piece of the weight loss puzzle.  All is well here. The husband is great. Shop is busy ... as it should be in the summer! I don't think she is obligated to give out that information any more than people who come to these boards and decide not to tell people.  Some people just prefer to keep the information private and IMO she has just as much right to do that as anyone else.

Hey Michelle  !  How are you doing sis? I agree with you.  Star Jones very much has a right to privacy, but she came out in at least two interviews *early* and denied she had weight loss surgery.   Her reason, because she has chosen to live in the public eye... kinda damages credibility a wee bit? I guess I would have rather had her just refuse comment, which is a challenge.. but other personalities in view have done that... and just kept it private.  Now... I believe a lot of people who are considering the surgery can look at her reluctance and wonder... **is there some hidden issue she doesnt wanna let one about?? Thats my take. Maine is okay, very beautiful.  I am single, missing my New Jersey friends, just posted a couple of new posts... I am going to try and make the September Board Walk ... I hope your husband and kids, family et all are well?    I been cashier on the graveyard 3rd shift here at a little convienence store, for the summer... I get to testify Tuesday about a beer theft that occurred .. in the local district court here...to me.   Thats the sum total of exciting things that have happened in 8 months  : P I am looking forward to the start of school because it means Sub teaching again : )  Much nicer than dealing with redneck inebriated late night customers : )  (even though I am redneck too) You look Mah volus kiddo.. keep up the good work : )    Take care.. and spread the word to our peeps... so to speak.. that I am going to work to be there in September for the Walk? Hey... how are you...  I agree with Kate... Star has too much ego.. I read the article too..  but I am interested to see how Lary handles her.

I saw her on one of those entertainment shows when the article hit and man did she look like a different person..  Wow if we all had the success and money Starr has to have been such a success at this we'd all probably have that same ego...  Donna
