my 4 month weigh in

Hi everyone!  Sorry I've been MIA, but it's been one crisis after another this summer.  My hubby fell off our roof, and is now on disability, and my mom (some of you know her from the Lakewood group)  has been in and out of the hospital with heart problems.  As it turns out, she had a very low pulse, and had a pace maker put in.  She feels better, but can't do anything except sit on the couch for the next 4 weeks. I went for my 4 month weigh in with Dr. Schmidt yesterday.  I've lost 78 pounds, and feel great!  They predicted a loss of 122 for me in the first year, so looks like I'm ahead of schedule.  AND, I bought a pair of dress pants today for work in a size 16!  Shopping in the "regular:" department was a thrill, but I started feeling like a fish out of water, and I believe I actually started to have an anxiety attack!   I guess I'll get used to it soon. I hope everyone is good... Marcie

That is great!  I agree with you on the shopping thing...I find myself very out of place trying to shop for clothes in regular stores....everything is all over and nothing is together like the way we are used to being so limited in our selections.  I find that I have the easiest time at Kohl's or Walmart and the prices are pretty reasonable.  Congrats again on the weight loss :)

Hey Marcie -- first of all sorry about your hubby's accident -- I trust that it will only be a matter of time till he's back in action?  As for your mother, please give her my best regards - once those four weeks are up, she'll also be back up and around. Congratulations on your 4-month check up and weight loss thus far.  Good girl -- enjoy the shopping -- once you drop from the 16s into the more easily found 14s and 12s, you'll enjoy it even more!
