Fond memories re-discovered
Hi friends,
I have a little story that I would like to share with all of you. My friend Donna and I took the kids to Crystal Springs(a water park in East Brunswick) last Friday. I was praying for a Tsumani, hurricane, tornado, and/ or flash flooding just so I WOULDN'T have to go! None of those things happened....so I went. I don't own a bathing suit, but figured shorts and a tank would do. Anyway, I figured I would spend the day sitting under an umbrella hiding and at least let the kids have fun. So there I was minding my own business when my friend dragged me to the pool. As I got in, I felt that everyone was looking at me, but once in the water, I had a wonderful time. Swimming, playing volleyball, and just relaxing......just as I remembered as a child. Also I might add....what a wonderful form of exercise! Needless to say, I got a little crispy (the SPF 50 wore off) but I have to say that I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. So Oct. 1st can't come soon enough for me and I'm looking foward to next year when I can go back in a bathing suit and feel even better that I felt Friday! Thanks for letting me share an experience that I had all but forgotten til a week ago!

Judy ,I'm glad you allowed yourself to have fun.I know exactly how you feel.I always think all eyes are on me but ya know what pools are one of my most favorite things.I go several times a week w/my kids and we have a blast.I keep telling them I can't wait til next year so I can jump of the diving board and noone will laugh or worry that I'll splash all the water out.lol.I actually felt like you a couple of winters ago.We went snowtubing on a realatives property and I wouldn't go (I was afraid I'd either pop the tube or just sink in the snow)but finally the kids wore me down.It was awesome to feel llike a kid again and for a moment I didn't feel like a 300+ pounder person.Good luck on your journey.I am still waiting for approval.
