Could anyone share with me your scheulde or protein and vitamins, water, etc. to make sure you get eveything you need in. I am having surgery on 8/13 and I want to get everything prepared and follow a schedule. Any tips would be great. Someone shared a great tip about organizing all their pills ahead of time for 1 month in weekly pill organizers.  Great idea, I will try that.

hi and good luck with your upcoming surgery!!! i think organizing the pills is a great idea, one i should prob. follow. im so hit and miss with pills, always have been. as to organizing your protein and water, i think you will have to take it one step at a time after surgery. your doctor should give you some type of a schedule to follow, i know mine did. in the beginning getting in all your water is real important too.  you will only be able to sip small amounts for the first few weeks.   so basically your schedule will be get in some protein, liquid, puree or whatever, and sip , sip, sip, water in between so u stay hydrated i would not recommend stocking up on too much protein/food, because i found my tastes really changed after surgery, sometimes from day to day. best of luck, jacki

Hi, Don't put alot of pressure on yourself.  Do the best that you can.   I am one year post op and still do a protein shake every morning.  I make them up a week in advance so all I have to do is put them in the blender with some ice and the protein powder and off I go. I do three weeks of vitamins at a time.  I went to the dollar store and bought this cool vitamin holder that is double sided for AM and PM.  I have learned so much about what you can take and what you  can't and what mixes that I have it down to a science.  I also bought two regular daily vitamin holders one of which I ttake to work this way my calcium, iron and zinc are not intermingling (sp?) I had over 250 lbs to lose so my journey is longer than most.  I am one year post op and have lost 160 lbs. since my surgery.   Follow the instructions that your nut gives to you but remember don't put alot of pressure and do the best you can.  It will all fall into place.
