Dr Greenbaum Consultation & a Question
I had may consultation with Dr Greenbaum(NJ) and I liked him very much, his office staff was every nice (especially Tina). As I have posted before finding a LAP DS surgeon in NJ in my insurance plan was difficult, but I thought I found the right Dr..Well he does do Lap DS but he doesn't really want to do Lap DS on me. He wants to do it open because I have has 2 previous abdominal Lap Procedures. Band in & Band out. He took alot of time to explain in detail the procedure and his reasons for wanting to do it open, scar tissue, especially scar tissue on the somach from my band and the repair from the ersoion repair. I know from my reading alot for you ladies and gents have had and open procedure and have said its not a big deal and recovery time is just a bit longer. But needless to say I'm kinda dissapointed I so wanted to have it Lap. Tina, his Bariatric Coordinator upon giving my paper work a quick review seems to think I'll get approved. I just have to get the testing done. The Dr wants me to get a gallbladder ultrasound...I guess to check for stones but if he removes it (he said he does) and my appendix why do I need to have it checked. I should have asked...I thought you all might know why. Also there has been a thread about additional fees...hes has one $250. Whi*****ludes 2 weeks of meal replacemant shakes to reduce the liver before surgery. The rest is for support meetings and administrative. Seems reasonable
Can anyome share the psyc Dr you use for medical clearance I'm in Monmouth County and have Horzion BC/BS HMO.
Well thats it for now. Thanks and Best wishes to everyone
