2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TODAY ! ! ! !

Hey Everyone!!!! Jumping for joy, literaly, over my anniversary today!!!!!  Two years ago I was 250 pounds, on medication for high cholesterol, suffering from sleep apnea, losing feeling in my ankles and feet, suffering from severe joint pain in my knees and ankles, terribly self-conscience about my body image and the Walmart size 24 clothes that I wore.  Wow, can you tell I was miserable?!?  With all of this going on, trying to take care of myself always came second to trying to take care of my 2 beautiful girls.  When I failed at catching my daughter from running into the street and not being able to get up off the floor after playing with them, I had had it!!!!!  At 35 years old, I felt as if my life was ending. Well, a whole new beginning happened 2 years ago and the story just gets better and better.  I am now almost 37 years old, and weigh 132 pounds.  I now wear a size 7-8 and can buy clothes in any shop that I choose.  I am off all meds and can eat enough protein during the day to be able to sustain my weight.  I lost a total of 118 pounds and am still amazed at this fact. I do still dump, on occasion, but it helps keep me in line.  About once every couple of months I get some gas stuck at the reattachment point of my small intestine and pouch, but can usually massage it out.  Hurts like H E double hockey sticks though. Having a blast with my daughters and have even showed my eldest my cartwheels and round - off.  Can you believe it?!?  Thanks to all my supporters, my family and also my extended RNY family at the Tom's River Support Group!!!! All my best to everyone and keep on living to the fullest!!!!!!

What a great story..... thanks for sharing......  It is amazing how this changes our lives... I had my surgery on November 9th 2006 and I am down 106 pounds..... I began at 264... I am now going into a size 9 from a 24......   I would like to drop another 25 pounds....   The last 6 weeks have been very slow for me.... I know I need to exercise more.... Did you exercise a lot?  But I just feel so good... I love hearing other story's..... so once again... thanks for sharing......  xo
