Hi  everyone,      Thanks for all of your support. Since I work at St Peters i'm trying to find out what's going on. The reviews that some of you have been reading about St Peters are very old. Dr's Brolin and Mehta Used to perform bariatric surgery at our hospital but stopped for reasons unknown to me. I do know that our hospital is reserving one of our units  for bariatric pt's. I don't know all of the logistics but keep in mind that special equiptment must be ordered ( beds, wheelchairs, furniture, etc.) to accomodate some pt's.  I know that we are striving for a successful progam and I'm sure want everything just right before the program goes into full swing. It doesn't lessen the fact that I really wanted to go there and have my "family" care for me and was really bummed out that I have to re-schedule but I guess I can understand. I'll keep you posted as soon as I know. Thanks again for all your well wishes!                                              Hugs, Judy

It will be great if they do get a dedicated floor for the surgery as I definitely saw the  difference post-op from the nurses at St. Barnabas Bariatric floor. It was awesome. I filled out the survey giving may things high marks, but have meant to send a Thank you card to the unit. b

St Baranabas is great I think regardless of where you are there..  a good nurse is a good nurse anywhere the put them.  I just had my thyroid removed there and the nurses were excellent.  I had my rny at St Claires before they had the center at Dover so I was done in Denville.  They also were great to me..     So, I think if they are good and trained well they will always be good..  Donna
