Switch from St Peters New Brunswick to St Clares
Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago I posted looking for info on St Peters in New Brunswick. My surgery date and location was changed from St Peters to St Clares. I was told that St Peters was not ready yet to perform the bypass. So here I am again looking for hospital info - Does anyone know anything about st clares and what has been your experience there? It is in Dover, NJ. I am scheduled for Aug. 28th.
Thanks.
Robin
I like Dover General (St. Clairs Dover Campus) I delivered both of my boys there, and use there emergency room when needed. I also, can not say enough Good Things about Dr. Bertha, I think he is great, very caring, very skilled and very very smart. Where do you live? I'm in Mt. Olive. I wish you all the best, and can't wait to hear all of your updates.

Judy, When I called to talk to the insurance area yesterday, they told me that St Peters was not ready to do the bypass there yet and they would have to reschedule me. They gave me the option bet St Clares or Morristown. I took St Clares because it had an earlier date. I would give them a call. Thanks. Robin

I had my surgery at St. Clares, April 2006. They were wonderful and so sweet to me. The best thing about it is that every month you have someone call you and/or email you to ask you how you are doing or to see if you have any questions. Just remember to walk, walk, walk.
I recently spoke with Dr. Abkin. He told me that they were going to start operating at St. Peters very soon. I had that choice or Morristown. I went with Morristown because it was closer and I heard a little bit nicer. I think that they are still working on getting set up at St. Peters. In St. Clares they make you do some test the next day where you have to drink some gross stuff and they have a looksee.. At Morristown, it is not required. I would suggest Morristown to anyone. The nurses there are nice and it is clean. Plus it's fun walking up and down the halls. :)
Robin,
Hi. I had my surgery at St. Peter's in New Brunswick - almost 4 years ago. Great place. I am now looking at contacting my surgeon on Monday (23 July 07) because I hurt myself horseback riding. St. Peter's was great - can't remember the nurses's name. Trust me, it was not the surgeon's fault - but mine - I need to learn how to ride a horse better............................................................Kathy
