Hey Folks,  I'm wondering if you all have tips on some good, but inexpensive protein shakes.  Right now, I'm spending $75/month on shakes.   I'm hoping to find a good replacement.   Ranessa

hi ranessa i spend about that much too -- i use the GNC 50 gram slam and they are about $3 a can -- i try to get them on sale with that buy 2 get 1 free -- plus i have the gold card -- but i have to put things into perspective -- how much would i be spending on soda every day??  or how much is that burger king value meal??  have you tried the Advant Edge from walmart?? they are like $5 for 4 containers we bought a small SUV on what we save by not going out to eat as much as we used to -- now that's amazing!!  sorry i wasn't of much more help to you  Roberta

Hey Ranessa, I make my own shakes. I haven't figured out the dollar and cents of it, but I think it is less then $75 a month. In the blender mix 1 scoop of Chocolate Designer Whey Protien (I get it at GNC or Vitamin Shoope) and 1 cup of milk (whichever youprefer works, I've made them with everything from skim to whole milk), I usually make a 2 cup shake w/ 2% milk (my fiance hates anything less), it is 52g of protien per shake.  The only down side is that the protien foams in the blender. I usually drink my shakes for breakfast, so I make my shakes at night and put them in a waterbottle and stick them in the fridge, and by breakfast the next day, they are REALLY good. I have also used this protien in a milkshake, it is really good. I hope this helps. Jamie

Hi I can only drink the Atkins protien shakes, you can normally get them in bulk at BJ's or Costco. The other shakes make me sick. Good Luck. Michelle

try Muscle Milk. You can order it online or buy it in The Vitamin Shoppe. I recently saw the power version onsale in the Vistamin Store at the Woodbury Commons Mall in New York state. About $20 something dollars for a huge container.

I have also purchased the Sportpharma chocolate whey shake  pwder at Costco, but had to make it with at least 2% milk. Then i discovered PB2- pwdered peanut butter from  Bell Planation. I add that to the shake for extra protrein and taste. That website is www.bellplantation.com.

Costco has protein powder...chocolate or vanilla.  It's a 6 lb bag, 75 servings, at it was something like $26.00.  I'm using this as part of my liquid diet prior to surgery, and I like them alot.
