Dr Samir Patel

Hello Everyone, I am new to OH and am looking into Lapband. I'm going to attend a seminar with Dr. Samir Patel from Egg Harbor Township in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone has him for a doctor and what you think of him and his procedures. Any advice would be very appreciated! Thank you, Amy

hi amy i am sorry i am not familiar with dr. patel. i see u are from toms river and i wanted to let u know that there is a wonderful support group for pre and post op weight loss surgery patients right here in the area. we meet the first friday of the month at community medical center and on the third monday of the month at the CEnter for healthy living which is right behind Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. perhaps you would like to come to the next lakewood meeting? we have patients who have had both lap band and RNY, and its a great forum for all your questions.  it is a peer group and not run by any doctor or doctors group.  there is no charge to be a member. i have been going to the lakewood group for a year now, and i have had RNY.  we would love to see you. good luck on your seminar, jacki

Hi My cousins freind is having Dr Patel band her in Aug and she is happy with him, I checked out his website and was impressed,he does surgery at Atlantic city Medical center and she said she was able to veiw his surgery online................Good luck Colleen

Hi,   I am the cousins friend that Colleen was talking about. I first met dr. Patel in April at the seminar. I am having my surgery on Aug. 13th and now I am just waiting for insurance approval. Dr. Patel is very easy to talk to and the nutritionist Kristen is also excellent. I have been speaking to Liz, who schedules the surgery and she is so helpful.
