They have started a support group at the Kennedy Center in Voorhees.  The doctor in charge is Dr. Neff and he and his staff are amazing people! The next meeting is July 23rd---7:00-8:30pm

Hi, Is it a support group open to all WLS patients or only his patients?  pre and post op?  Currently in pre-op stage of clearance testing and going with Barix, Dr. Pupkova for the actual WLS, but due to the fact I live in SNJ, work in NYC and don't get home until about 7ish I have not been able to attend any of their support groups. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

THEY ARE AT 8:00PM,  ON THE LAST THREE THURS OF THE MONTH.   WE DO HAVE ANOTHER GIRL THAT HAD DR. GOLDSTEIN.  AND SHE TRAVELS FROM NEW CITY EVERY DAY. I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE DOES IT,  BUT SHE COMES TO SUPPORT.. YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN US. EMAIL ME.  FOR ANY INFO:     [email protected]

I see everyone is posting if the meeting is open to all.  I live in Phillie right by the BR bridge so this is a good place for me. If it is an open meeting could someone post and let us know. Thanks. Jeanne

I would be very interested in going also if it is open to all. I had my surgery at Temple and I can't get to their support group meetings because they start at 6 and I can't get there from work in time.

I called and she said it is only for those having surgery or had surgery at Kennedy. But IF there are that many--can't we start our own? I live near Glassboro and would love something a bit closer--maybe we can do it at a library?
