How Long?
I called my own health insurance which is Horizon BC/BS and I'm still covered under their plan, my family's also covered. I asked the lady what were their requirements for wls approval, and she said that the surgery's approved as long as it's medically necessary. I told her that I made the mistake of presenting my husband's insurance card, and she said I did make a mistake. She told me that most likely the surgery will be denied, because my own insurance is the primary one, and my husband's the secondary one. I have the option of providing my own insurance card.
I have my psychiatric evaluation tomorrow which is also in the same office as the surgeon's and I'm going to take my insurance card and ask them to submit it. Let's see what happens. I don't know if they've already started with getting the surgery approved, but I'm gonna see if I can change insurance. Nereida
