Hello to all my freinds and supporters! I have gotten so many inspriring messages that its been impossible to reply to them all, so i wanted to post on the message board. As a few of you may or may not know, I had a scale at home that was telling me that i dropped 4-10 lbs in the past 3 weeks, which of course depressed me because i had made a major decision to have this surgery to LOSE weight and i seemed to be failing.. welll... today i finally had my 3 week check up and the doc confirmed with my weigh in that i actually have dropped 28 lbs in the past 3 weeks!!! istarted at 314 lbs and now weigh 286!! wow.. i am relieved.. and renewed in my faith in this procedure. feel free to reply. All comments welcome. take care everyone. :-)

Hi Rose, Happy to hear of your first triumph and looking forward to hearing about your wow moments as they come.  Think you'd better throw away that scale that was making you depressed . Be well and keep posting.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Oh yeah, that scale is soo gone! lol. I might just make a trip to the gym and use the scale with the sliding weights on it. Anything is better than nothing. Thanks for your response! Take care. :-)

Hi Bridget! Thank you, yes I am feeling so much better. Just knowing that I am not a failure at this process has been so great. I still struggle with what and when to eat, but I am taking it one day at a time. I started a job already, and i seem to be fine working 8 hr days, so everything seems to be coming together. Thank you especially for your support these past few weeks, I really appreciate it. ! Feel free to send me private mesgs if you need to talk, and i know i can do the same to you. Thanks again. :-)
