looking for very good surgeon near wayne nj

I had my  RNY done in brooklyn by a fabulous doc... my friend now wants to have a band or bypass too since hes seen my results.... he works splits shifts and cant make it down to bklyn so we are looking for a good surgeon for him..... any recommendations ?  thanks

Hi -  I used Dr. Davis out of Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, they have an obesity center there now. He is part of a group that works in Columbia - NYC, as well. He and his staff are excellent and the nurses at Valley were great.  Another group that is excellent is out of Hackensack Hospital - I'm just not sure of their names. I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses.  There are a variety of doctors @ Hackensack and Englewood Hospital.  I used Stephanie Vaimakis in Englewood.

I had my RNY in Hackensack Hospital by Drs. Capella and Iannacci - Capella Surgery in Ramsey.  They are wonderful - the surgery went well and the staff at Hackensack. Hospital were great. Good luck.

A side note to that is that Dr. Capella ONLY does open surgery.  :)

I used Dr. Hans Schmidt for my gastric bypass. He is out of Hackensack Hospital.  He was fantastic!

I went to Dr. Michael Nusbaum in West Orange.  He is the head of Bariatric Surgery in St. Barnabus...he was awesome not one complaint at all.  973-325-9779
