I'm currently 10 weeks post surgery and still out of work duer to nausea.  Having a hard time with most foods.  The dr. not too concerned, says it's common.  Anyone else have this issue?Any suggestions on how to handle this?  Weight loss is great - 60 lbs.so far.

Hi, I had a really hard time with nausea after surgery. I think post surgery nausea can be caused by multiple things. I had trouble keeping things down too. I found that my nausea was caused by not eating enough. I know this sounds REALLY weird but when I started getting more protien in (through a simple milk & protien shake at first) my nausea went away within 4 days. My weight loss was also awesome in the first 9-10 weeks (I think it was because I wasn't enough again), I've continued to loose, just not as much as fast, but the weight keeps falling off and I have been able to execrise and feel MUCH better. I know it is hard to get things down but try making a shake 1 cup of low fat or skim milk and 1 scoop of designer whey protien (or your favorite protien), then leave it in the fridge for about 1-2 hours before drinking (the blender makes it really foamy, putting it in the fridge will deflate it.
