THE BEST OF THE BEST IN NJ
Hello everyone, my name is Will, I have a very bad back with mutiple disk problems,,,,I can't work anymore and Im not receving any disabilitie benitfits from My grate state of NJ....I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, BORDER LINE DIETBETIES...SO iM TIRED OF BEING DEPRESSED AND NOT ABLE TO LIVE AND WORK TO SUPPORT MY WIFE AND MYSELF...SO IM HERE LOOKING FOR A CHANGE IN MY LIFE...JUST TRYING TO CHOOSE THE RITE DOCTOR FOR A CONSULT....THANK YOU EVERYONE WILL
I used Dr. Frank Borao out of Monmouth Medical Center. As far as I'm concerned he is THE BEST. He is an amazing surgeon (I can barely see the laprascopic scare). He also works with a great team of his program director (Debbie LaRusso), psychologist (Dr. Goldberg), nutritionist (Sam Habbib), and office manager/insurance guru (Laura). This staff takes such great care of their patients. I felt comfortable knowing that it is a conservative practice, in other words, their programs puts rules in place to help lessen and almost irradicate the chance of complications. I don't have the number on me right now, but if you want it, e-mail me off post and I would be more than happy to get it for you ([email protected]).
Good luck with your search. I hope to see you on the loosers bench soon.
hi will
my husband and myself both use Dr. Matt Kirkland over in Philly at Penn Hosp
choose your surgeon wisely and go to many consults
find a team approach -- someone who has the Nutritionist, Cardiologist, Pulmanary, Psychologist, post op care, support groups -- that way you aren't scrambling to find your own -- also find someone who isnt in it for the money -- there are many programs out there that are quite expensive -- research the different types of surgery -- what might be right for me is not right for you -- find ut what type of surgery a surgeon prefers -- try not to be compulsive in any decision -- this is a life long decision -- find a surgeon who will answer ALL of your questions --
AJ -- You got that list from DrX about what questions to ask a surgeon??
well anyway -- on the profile of DrX there is a list of great questions to ask
just be your own best advocate and educate yourself
good luck to you and ask any questions here and someone will point you in the right direction!!

I too agree that Dr. Bertha is the BEST!!! My husband had him do his Lap RNY almost 3 years ago & I just used him for my Lap RNY on 6/11. His staff is great & he is always there to listen and is very compassionate. I highly recommend him.
Best of luck to you for whom ever you choose.

Will,
Dr. Bertha is the BEST!! My vote is for him or his partner, Dr. Abdkin. Great docs and office staff.

He operates out of Morristown Memorial Hospital, St. Peter's Hospital, and I believe St. Claire's hospital.
Best of luck to you!
I am also very impressed with their staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I called Thursday mid morning to check on whether my insurance had been submitted. The woman I spoke to said my file was right there and they would be submitting it this coming week. She took a quick look and told me what I needed that she could see off the bat. One of the items I had at home. I faxed it to her when I got home and received a call from her at 7:30 in the evening! Very impressive.
