Just popping in to say hello. I have been on and off this board for years. I am once again on my way to seeking LapBand surgery. My bloodwork:done. Psych and nutrition scheduled. Then all I need is chest xray and EKG and then I can schedule my consult with another surgeon. I wanted one closer to home so I am hoping to go with Dr. Ballantyne out of Hackensack. I look forward to keeping you all posted on my journey!

the best of luck to you :)  remember that each surgeon is different and has a different criteria -- you might want to have the consult first and then schedule all the other appointments -- no sense in spending money on co-pays that you might not have to spend or might not have to spend right now -- i hate to see people waste money :)  Roberta

Hi Kathleen, I work in Lyndhurst, and I had my surgery out of Hackensack Hospital and it was the best experience and I'm doing great since I had the lap-band put in on 3-22 I have lost 33lbs so far and counting......you will not regret having it done so long as you understand exactly what is expected of you and you understand that its a tool to help you and the cure.  The journey is very rewarding along the way and this board is an awesome source of information, the people are wonderful and helpful and blogging my progress really helps me.  If you ever want to chat or have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.   Blessings on your journey!!  Maria
