Wednesday willl be 2 weeks for me since my bypass, and I have noticed something.  I am still on the puree diet, but I am not ever hungry, and I do eat because I know that I have to, but I never eat to being full, I just eat the little bit of protien and thats all I do. I am a bit confused by this, are you supposed to feel hungry?  I am drinking a lot, at least that works, but I just do not feel the need for food.  Its a little odd..

This is perfectly normal.  As time goes by your appetite will eventually increase.   Carla

Not to worry, totally normal.  I didn't feel any hunger for at least 6 months after my surgery.  I am 9 months out and just sometimes feel hunger now.  I found it very liberating!  After being controlled by my hunger for 10 years, I totally enjoyed/enjoy not being hungry most of the time. You are doing the right thing by eating/drinking, you need to eat and drink to heal. Michelle

I am glad to hear it.  I am assuming that I will begin the whole food thing this week, and the puree thing wil be done, and maybe that will help. At least I know I am not alone.  I cant wait to see how much more I have lost, my next appt is this week, and I look forward to it. One thing I do know is that my wedding ring slides off now, and before it was quite tight.  Its pretty amazing.   I need to get a chain to hold it on, soon it will no longer even sit on my finger properly...
