inurance approval

Did you mean me???   Those damn voices saying..you can't...why bother... just eat it...  guess we've all heard them  huh?   Anyway... I'm still waiting to hear something from the ins co.  According to MY call to them... as long as my BMI was (I think) at least 40, all that was needed was a letter of medical necessity.  I have everything in place, just waiting for approval.  I will do my PAT's this Friday.    Hoping and praying for smooth sailing........ Just found out some interesting information from BCBS NJ.  Once they get the precerts, they approve them immediately if the individual meets their guidelines (spelled out in their Benefit Plan).  I also inquired about the 6 month diet with the PCP and they said they did not require this for the bariatric surgery.  So now I'm thinking that this 6 month wait period is a requirement of my surgeon.  At least this is positive news regarding the insurance company.
