Day 2, no Caffeine
Ok, I failed miserably at trying to give up artificial sweeteners. It's just too hard for me right now, but I've definitely cut back. I only eat artificial sweeteners in my Fiber One, Yogurt, and beverages. Those who know me know that I need my Fiber One!
This means no sugar and no sugar free snacks.I confess, once in a while I have been known to eat a sugar free cupcake/tastycake which really is downright gross and full of chemicals! Anyhow, I haven't had caffeine for two days. So I'm going to go get some decaf for the taste, but I'm so proud!
Angela~ Don't be too hard on yourself with the artificial sweeteners. It's hard not to taste anything sweet all day long, every day. I didn't know Tastycake made sugar free cupcakes, or anything sugar free. I am afraid to try them anyway though, because sugar alcohols make me really, really sick. I don't throw up, but I get awful stomach pains and then all hell breaks loose! It's really bad. I think I will stay away from the Tastycakes
The caffeine is good news though. I try to drink decaf about 90% of the time, and then when I do feel the need for some caffeine, I get "half caff", coffee which is half decaf and half regular, it still gives me a kick, but if I do it after 3:00 in the afternoon I won't be able to sleep..... and sleep is precious to me! Good luck with the decaf endeavor!
