Hi Donna - I've been thinking about you.... esp. when I drive and see all the beautiful flowers and think to myself " I have to get me some of those b/4 they are all gone...." Keep my posted on the particulars of getting people together, I would like to join in if I'm able to. Hope you are doing well - Marta

Wow, I knew I could count on the New Jersey crowd to come through. Now we have to plan. What do we want to do? I was thinking the most practical event would be a weekend afternoon since some of us will have to travel. I thought we could find a great park and have a Pot Luck Picnic. We could bring our favorite WLS dishes and hang out together. We could eat, take a walk. Or we could find some type of event or festival and meet there.  I am getting really excited about having an official get together.

Lets get some ideas.

I am still pre-op but would love to meet up with all you success stories!  I don't mind travelling.  I would suggest someplace where we can sit and really talk, talk, talk without having to eat, eat, eat.  I probably could not do a walk yet since I'm struggling with weight, bad knees, breathing problems, etc. (You know -- all the stuff you guys got rid of after surgery...LOL).  But I'd be glad to join all of you at a pot luck and would promise to bring some WLS friendly recipe.  It looks like most of you are from North Jersey, so maybe you can pick a park or place with picnic tables and pavilion that we can meet at.  Just let me know when.  I agree that an afternoon would work best.  Thanks for doing this.
