Weight Loss Surgery Night Out!

I joined a group on Yahoo and we meet once a month. All the members have had weight loss surgery. I was wondering if any New Jersey people would like to have a get together? It doesn't have to be once a month but lets try it once and see what happens. The group is great fun and I know there a few OH groups that meet in Texas, Ma. and Long Island. How bout' us NJ people come together and meet in person. Anyone up for this???

Wendy - is the support group for anyone? I'd really like to go to a support group. I'm almost three years out and at this point I'm beginning to struggle with my weight a bit. Is it a weekly meeting? Please let me know! Hugs, Nancy

It is open to anyone... my surgery wasn't done at Valley and my surgeon has no affiliation with them. I will say that most of the people there have had LapBand, as opposed to RNY. The leader announced at the last meeting that he will eventually be holding separate meetings for each of the procedures. They meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. They will be meeting this week Thursday (the 24th). The meetings are held in Paramus at The Kraft Building, 15 Essex Road, Paramus. They start at 6:00 PM and run until about 7:30 PM Wendy
